Privacy notice in plain English.
What we collect through this website, why, who sees it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do. Last updated 14 October 2026.
Who we are
ANJ Intelligence Ltd (“ANJ”, “we”) is registered in England and Wales, company number 17275634, registered office 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. We decide how the details collected on anjintelligence.com are used, which makes us the controller under UK data protection law.
For any question or request about your data, email aaron@anjintelligence.com or call 01296 798046. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration number ZC260243.
What we collect, and why
You don't have to give us any details, but we need a way to reply to you.
- Contact form: your name, email and/or phone number, company website, the options you pick (services, company size, budget) and your message. We use them to reply to you and prepare a proposal. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries, and steps you ask us to take before a contract.
- Solar quote tool: the address you search for and its map position, the roof and sunlight data we fetch for it, and the settings you choose, used to produce the estimate you asked for (legitimate interests). If you ask us to send you the quote, also your name and email and/or phone number, so Aaron can follow it up, with your consent (the tick box), which you can withdraw at any time. The estimate is worked out automatically, but it is only an illustration: we make no automated decisions about you.
- Client portal (clients only): your name, the messages you send us in the portal, and the content plans and reports we share with you. Legal basis: our contract with your business.
- Website statistics:Vercel Web Analytics counts page visits for us. It uses no cookies and doesn't identify you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are useful.
Who sees it
Our small team, and the service providers that run parts of this website for us: Vercel (hosting), Google (address search, maps, roof and solar data, and our email), Hetzner (the server that forwards quote requests to our inbox), WhatsApp (alerts to our team about new quote requests), Airtable (client portal records) and the EU Joint Research Centre's PVGIS service (sunlight data for a map position; no names or contact details are sent).
We don't sell your details or pass them to other companies for their own marketing. Some of these providers process data outside the UK, including in the USA; when they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the ICO-approved transfer terms in their contracts.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and quote requests that don't lead to work: up to 2 years after our last contact.
- Client records: while we work together, then up to 6 years for legal and tax reasons.
- Website statistics are only kept as anonymous totals.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your details, to correct or delete them, to limit how we use them or to stop using them, and to send them to you or another organisation in a common format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email aaron@anjintelligence.com and we'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies and storage
This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. The client portal remembers the name you type in its chat in your browser's storage, so you don't have to retype it. The map in the solar quote tool is provided by Google Maps Platform, under Google's privacy policy.
Changes
We'll update this notice when the way we use data changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
